After the announcement by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) that egg freezing was no longer considered experimental, egg freezing was featured on NBC Nightly News. The article pointed out that while the experimental designation was lifted, ASRM does not go so far as to recommend that women use egg freezing to "beat that biological clock."
In the report, Robert Bazell, chief science and health correspondent for NBC News, talked Jamie Grifo, M.D., Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology at the NYU School of Medicine in New York, who commented. "I don't think that's for an agency to decide how a woman chooses to conduct her reproductive life."
